York to Keswick, UK

Introduction

From York we headed north to the Lakes District, for the small town of Keswick. Near here were family locations at Threlkeld. We negotiated the A1(M) to Scotch Corner then turned west. Heavy cloud signalled the start of rain, so by the time we arrived in Threlkeld it was raining heavily. The place was overrun with cars and walkers so we headed into Keswick and the brand new Premier Inn.
