Arnold Daniel Mathews JACKSON (1864-1936)Arnold Daniel Mathews was born in Empingham in 1864 to Richard and Mary Ellen JACKSON. In the 1871 census Arnold was aged 6 and living with his parents at Empingham. By 1881 Arnold had gone to London to become a baker's assistant, living with Harry Jarman the baker at 88 Pimlico Rd, Chelsea. Arnold Daniel does not appear to be in the 1891 census.
Arnold Daniel married Amy SPENCER at Grantham, Lincolnshire in 1899. They had six children.
By 1901 Arnold and Amy were living with Amy's mother Eliza at Ingoldsby, Grantham. Amy and Eliza were working as dressmakers, Arnold was now a mason's labourer. By 1901 Arnold and Amy had moved to Barrow, near Oakham in Rutland where Arnold was now an ironstone miner.

The children of Arnold and Amy JACKSONMiriam JACKSON (1900-1973)Miriam was born in Ingoldsby on 25 September 1900. She was recorded with the family in the 1901 and 1911 censuses. She married Harold Garfoot BRUDENELL in 1921 at Bourne, Lincolnshire. They had two daughters - Phyllis (1923) and Gwendoline (1924). In the 1939 register, Harold was a farmer at Copy Lawn Farm, Edenham. Copy Lawn Farm has an interesting history, as it was once the terminus for a branch railway built by the Edenham & Little Bytham Railway in 1857. The line was never a success and closed in 1884. Today the weighbridge still stands on the farm.
Miriam died at 53 Mill Drove, Bourne on 12 February 1973. Harold died at The Banks, Toft, Bourne on 6 March 1982. The couple were interred at the Baston Cemetery.

Bertha Ellen JACKSON (1901-1974)Bertha was born on 6 December 1901 at Ingoldsby, Lincolnshire. In late 1923 she married Frederick FEETHAM. They had two children: Charles Frederick (24 April 1924-18 Oct 1982) and Eileen Gwenda (28 June 1927-20 Jan 1991)). In 1939 they were living at 5 Richard St, Dunstable. By 1939 he was living at 58 Wood View, Bourne with his wife Dorothy and a Hilda Haywood. The only marriage that fits these dates is one to Dorothy M. HAYWARD in 1937 at Southwark, London. The next we know of Edwin is his death on 27 December 1984 at 58 Wood View, Bourne, the same address as in 1939.

In 1939 Annie was living with her sister Miriam at Copy Lawn Farm in Edenham. Edward was living apart from Annie at Gosport, presumably in the dockyards. It appears that Annie divorced Edward DAVIES soon after the end of the war. She then married Arthur George Henry SOUNDY at the Registry Office, Westminster London on 10 June 1954. Arthur was a widower. Annie Elizabeth JACKSON/DAVIES/SOUNDY died on 27 October 1985 and was buried at the cemetery in Greenwich. Annie did not have any children.
