Cruising the Danube from the Black Sea to the North Sea April-May 2023: Day 5
Kew Gardens
Introduction
It dawned a nice fine day so we decided to take the train out to Kew Gardens. We were not alone in this idea and hundreds of people streamed off
the train. No need to consult the map to find the gardens, just follow the crowd. The gardens are world famous for their collections of plants
and for their research work. The glass houses are some of the largest in the world. The gardens abounded in spring flowers such as tulips and daffodils
and blossom trees. We stopped for a bite to eat at the Orangery, but as this venue was closed for refurbishment there were food stalls nearby.
