Newcastle Upon Tyne

Introduction

From Crieff we needed to head south to eventually return to Heathrow. We decided to stop off in Newcastle as I had relatives who once lived there. I also discovered that I have a distant cousin living there and this was a good opportunity to meet her. So we did. it was also an opportunity to stop and take a closer look at the Angel of the North.

On to Froggatt Edge for the night and then home....

From Newcastle we headed south into the Peak District and stayed the night again at Chequers Inn at Froggatt Village. From there it is an easy drive on the M1/M25/M4 to Heathrow.
