The REYNOLDS Family
The Reynolds family was originally from Leicestershire but they have
moved around, presumably looking for work. Absolom, the father, is listed as a farmer in the 1841 census.
Absolom REYNOLDS married Mary (unknown surname) in about 1822 and they had their first child (Catharine) born in Dunton Bassett, Leicestershre in 1824. They had 3 children in Dunton Bassett then moved about 5 miles east to Arnesby, Leicestershire
where they had two more children. Then they moved about 10 miles southwest to Willey in Warwickshire and had two more children. Finally they moved about 20 miles northeast to Belton and settled at College Lodge.

eventually taking it over and in the 1911 census was living there with his wife and son.

Their oldest daughter (Mary) Elizabeth was visiting her grandmother Elizabeth Goodliffe at Braunston.
In 1891 George and Annie has moved to Jubilee House, Ridlington, Rutland. George is now a farmer. At home
they had Mary Elizabeth (20), Anne Maria (18), George William (16), and John Thomas (13).
In 1901 they were all still at Jubilee Lodge, Ridlington and none of the children had married. A
visitor on census night was Ellen WARD, widow, aged 56, born Lambley Lodge. Ellen was Annie's sister.
George Robert REYNOLDS died in mid 1906 (Uppingham 7a/179)
Anna Maria (GOODLIFFE) died on 24 February 1910. Both are buried at St Mary Magdalene & St Andrew Church, Ridlington, Rutland.
The Family of George and Annie
None of the family stayed on at Jubilee Lodge. In the 1911 census, the Lodge was occupied by Mr Dick
BRADLEY, a Yorkshireman, his wife Annie and son Guy, her parents Alfred and Ann Crossley and two farm helpers.
Mary Elizabeth:
I cannot find her in the 1911 census. Nor can I find a marriage or death record for Mary.
Annie Maria: was still single in 1911, aged 38 and living with her brother
John on a farm at Stannon Thrapton, Kettering. She did not marry and died a spinster on 24 June 1955 at Carlton Hayes Hospital, Narborough,
Leicestershire.
George William: married Lucy Lavinia INGRAM in 1905.
They had seven children - Oliver Ingram (1906), George William (1909),
Leslie (1912, birth not registered) Albert Henry (1915), Leonard (1918), Catharine May and Dennis (1920 - twins).
In 1911 George and Lucy were farmers (graziers) at Great Glen, Leicestershire. George died in 1923, aged 49 apparently after falling
off a horse.
John Thomas: in 1911 was single and a farm labourer at Stannon
Thrapston, Kettering. His sister Annie and his Aunt Ellen Ward (born Lambley Lodge) were also living with him.
