In the 1891 census, Anne and family were living at 57 Cranmer St, Nottingham. The visitor, Ada LEE is likely to be a cousin or neice of George, his mother being Jane LEE. Ada also appears elsewhere in the family, marrying Annie Lilian's younger brother Arthur Herbert GOODLIFFE.

In 1901 they had moved to 233 Woodborough Rd, Nottingham:

And in 1911 they were still at 233 Woodborough Rd

There is little more information about the family until 1956, when three of them died:

Annie Lilian died on 15 March 1956.

George died on 11 July 1956, and

their son George Harold died on 9 September 1956.

The children of Anne Lilian GOOODLIFFE and George SPRECKLEY

George HaroldSPRECKLEY

The oldest son of Anne and George, was born in Nottingham in late 1890.

He was working as a clerk in the lace factory in 1911. He features in a 1940 newpaper report, being fined £2 for showing a light during the blackout. The report from the Nottingham Evening Post of 13 June 1940:

George remained living with his parents all of his life, dying at the same address in 1956 (see probate record above) on 9 September 1956.

Arthur Percy SPRECKLEY

Arthur Percy was born in 1894 in Nottingham. In the 1911 census he is living at home, but was employed as an articled clerk for a Chartered Accountant. He would go on to become a chartered accountant himself. He is noted in a newspaper report, giving evidence in connection with the theft of money from the Nottingham Manufacturing Company, in the Nottingham Evening Post of 6 October 1931:

Arthur married Winifred PRATT in Nottingham in 1921. They had two children:

Richard Harold SPRECKLEY, born 28 April 1922, died 1995, and

Winifred M. SPRECKLEY, born 1925.

The Kelly's Directory for 1941 lists Arthur Percy as a chartered accountant of the firm Flinders and Spreckley, of Albion Chambers, 32 King St, Nottingham.

Arthur and Winifred were living at 106 Priory Rd, West Bridgford in 1950 when Arthur died. The probate record shows he died at The Hollies Nursing Home, Third Avenue, Sherwood Rise, Nottingham, with probate granted to his wife Winifred and his brother George Harold.

Winifred died in Nottingham in 1980.

Annie Margaret SPRECKLEY

Annie was born in Nottingham on 13 October 1900 in Nottingham. There is little more information about her life. She appears to have died in late 1994 in Spilsby, Lincolnshire.
