Montreal - Vabcouver - Auckland and Home.

Introduction

My phone beeped - it was 2am. A text from Air Canada: your flight to Vancouver has been canccelled. We will send an update in 30 minutes. You ARE joking, aren't you? Apparently not. In 30 minutes we were booked on a replacement flight that was scheduled to leave a few minutes later than planned, but it was a larger plane so most people were accommodated on it. But it still gave us 6 hours in Vancouver - not sure why. That problem over we headed for the subway station to take the train to the airport. No trains! It had been the last night of daylight savings and the rumours were the railway clocks had not been adjusted. So out of the station to find a taxi. Turns out there is a flat taxi fare to the airport so it was cheap and got us there in plenty of time. thus plenty of time for breakfast. The flight west from Montreal to Vancouver took about 5 hours.
