Montreal - Jean Talon Markets

Introduction

The hotel offered breakfast for a price (high) so we opted for a small cafe in the Metro complex. We then bought 3-day passes and headed into the train system to get to the Jean Talon Markets. These are touted as the most amazing place to visit, with vendors selling all foods imaginable. The reality was somewhat less: yes, there were many vegetable stalls and even some good cheese places, but we were left underwhelmed - especially when compared to the St Laurence Markets in Toronto.

Christ Church Cathedral

Christ Church Cathedral lies in central Montreal. It was in this church that Mary KEITH was married (twice), so we had to visit. Impressive building but not the original church and not the original site. Mary Keith was married before this one was built.
