Immigration record for Thomas EMERSON

These immigration records are invaluable. They tell us that Eleanor, Isabella and Thomas were siblings, they came from Clones, Fermanagh, Ireland and their parents were Thomas and Isabella.

Looking at the Irish records, we find that Thomas married Isabella ELLIOT on 15 May 1805 at the Church of England, Clones. They had six children all baptised at the same church in Clones:

NameDate of Baptism
Jane23 April 1806
Mary28 February 1808
John4 April 1810
Isabella Elliot12 November 1812
Thomas22 October 1815
Eleanor Elliot2 March 1818

Of the six siblings, the younger three emigrated to Australia. The fate of Jane is unknown. Mary appears to have died a spinster in Clones, Ireland in late 1880. John married Margaret Ann SHARPE, had at least two children (Margaret and Edward) before he died 23 April 1879. There is an elaborate headstone to John and family at Clogh Church, Roslea..
